although i dont visit here much.. i am on alot around on the boards. As far as i know a ref would be someone who is known to be a reliable person such as a VIP/VET/MOD or like i said someone who is "known" as reliable. I dont have any refs much like you. I feel awkward approaching someone familiar that has a much higher status than me. but i guess i gotta get over that.

Im not sure if its suitable to assume someone recognizes me because what if i message them and they feel offended and that im just reaching out for refs so i can order?

i like this topic

best thing to do is to earn them..stick around,,contribute, post and reply and make a name for yourselves and then in no time you'll have em..oh and I know all bout Ghostgym..was a member there since like 01 or something like that..

Refs don't come easy, and they shouldn't come easy, otherwise they're meaningless. But that doesn't really matter for new guys these days anyways, because there are plenty enough sources who will do business with just anybody. Let's just say that this leads to a lot of 'turnaround' in their occupation. Stick around and actively and meaningfully contribute to the boards, learn and share your learning, then eventually someone might ref for you.

same as it is here...i think when they revamped things they lost my info then i lost all my log in info....i was there almost the same time N4cer was...ya can ask him..i think he beat me there by a day or so...lol..as for HC..no never did use him but a ""few years back"" i know his stuff was real good..
No kiddin? What's your username over there? I'm Hardgainer on that board. Learned a lot over there, some really helpful guys there too like Jezziah and Bigthom.

Did you ever use Hardcore? Lot of guys over there swear by him but like I said in my other thread, I didn't get much result from his gear. Got some Sus from Wolfman too but I don't think he is in the biz anymore.

Earn them with your time and knowledge contributions to the board- those are the best kind.

Yup! only way imo.

I felt that way at other boards then i slimmed my pickings down to here sm and taz that are all pretty much the same people and its family. Once you get to know them they are great dudes and with posting up and quality posts you can get refs.

This is probably a really stupid question.

Do I just have to stay active and people will vouge for me eventually? What counts as a ref? I've seen sources say other sources don't count?? Argh!

Sticking around is the best policy. Once the others will get to know you, they will trust you enough to vouch for you. On the other hand, if you have mods or VIPS/VETS of other boards who can vouch for you, your source will probably agree to deliver even if they have to be more cautious than ever at the moment.

Best answer I have seen yet.

Also, In Hulk...who do you know or where did you come from? Never heard of you before?
