A man charged with selling hundreds of steroid pills to an undercover trooper at a Bethlehem gym told police his full-time job used to be steroid sales but he wasn't into dealing anymore, according to court documents.

Edward Michael Moyzan, 35, of 1225 Main St., Northampton, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver. He was arraigned before District Judge Wayne Maura of Bethlehem and is free on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Court documents say an undercover state trooper bought two bags with 300 pills that tested positive for steroids. Police said the steroid buys happened in November 2006 and January 2007 at Gold's Gym, 2138 W. Union Blvd.

State police in Bethlehem could not be reached for comment to determine why it took so long to file charges. Neither Moyzan nor a representative from the gym could be reached for comment Monday.

According to court documents:

State police began investigating the gym in September 2006 after a complaint of an illegal steroid distribution at the gym by members, including Moyzan.

In November of that year, an undercover officer met with Moyzan at the gym and asked for a price of ''d-bol,'' a steroid by the name of Dianabol. Moyzan asked what he hoped to accomplish, and the agent said he wanted to gain mass and had hit a plateau.

Moyzan suggested a regimen of a 10-week cycle of two different kinds of steroids. He said the two different types of steroids would cause less liver damage and were less expensive than they were years ago.

Moyzan said the undercover trooper should take five pills a day and he would charge $300, twice as cheap as other suppliers, the documents state.

''[Moyzan] said that's the price he offers to friends because he was not into dealing … anymore,'' the papers state. ''He said he used to sell steroids as his only source of income.''

On Nov. 16, 2006, Moyzan and the undercover trooper exchanged the money during a handshake, and Moyzan said he could find the pills inside a locker at the gym.

Police recovered a bag with more than 200 steroid pills.

On Jan. 9, 2007, the trooper wrote he saw Moyzan at the gym and was asked if he wanted to try ''Var,'' another type of steroid. Moyzan arranged for another buy a few days later for $325.

Police said they met with Moyzan in the gym parking lot and made the drug buy at Moyzan's girlfriend's car. Moyzan again told police he used to sell steroids as his sole source of income but now had a good job and helped out only a few people, mostly friends.

Police said the buy involved 100 steroid pills.

Eddie Moyzan is a top NPC superheavyweight competitor.

Kinda stupid that he would sell to some guy that he didnt know but its also very lame of the "po po" to act like a guy that needed a little help getting past a plateau. Then acquiring a handful of pills from a guy who was trying to help and then totally fuking that guy over with their bullshit.

Just goes to show you , dont trust anyone that you havent known for a long while.

Actually bro, you'd be amazed just how far FIVE OH will go to make a bust. Speaking as a former LE, that is. Some have gone months undercover just to bust the right people. But, not that I'm defending the dumb ass who got busted, the fact is as you said, you have to really be careful who to trust. And sure as hell not someone whom you meet at the gym.

A guy at my gym used to sell AAS (even to newbies). He was forced to leave after he got into a fight with another guy.

I like how he admitted multiple times "he used to be a steroid dealer". Well hell, might as well tell him your whole life story now you dumbfuck!!

Thats what amazes me, soon as somebody smiles at ya, no matter if you've never spoke to them before in your entire life (and have no clue who they are or where they come from), you open right up and tell them secrets that most of your family probably doesnt even know.

Shit, why stop there? Might as well tell him you were a peeping tom in 6th grade, had your first wet dream in 8th grade, and got caught whackin off to your moms JCPenney catalog before you were old enough to drive!?

WTF!!??

What is this, just stupidity that everybody has- or do people crave attention so bad from other people they'll do or say anything to get it?

I dont get it, I really dont:confused:

sorry Ronus, it wasnt directed at you, although if the jar of peanut butter fits... err was it an Apple pie.. ? hmmm

Yah I dont get why its so hard for people to keep their mouths shut. I think they think talking will get them sympathy. Something like "but Officer I used to be a steroid dealer, I just cant help myself..." Cop says "oh, you used to be a dealer, well that changes everything. I know how hard being a dealer really is as I am a recovering AA member myself (Anabolics Anonymous). Tell you what, since you came clean with me I'm gonna cut you a break- mono A mono - its the least I could do. Just dont let me catch you around gym equipment ever again"

:)
