If you smoke don't smoke, don't drink anything thru a straw. The last thing you want is a dry socket. Eat soft foods and make sure you take your pain meds.

Thnx buddy unfortunately I do smoke and I need 2 quit, but yeah the thought hasnt even crossed my mind, need to get some food in me, almost 24hrs w/ no food. Tried some soup but it fucking hurt, drinking gatorade.

try mashed potaoes, jello. Remember do not smoke. If you get a dry socked it will be the worst pain you ever had.

Take like 800mg of ibprofen. It will help with the pain and swelling. You will be in serious pain if you have a dry socket. A dry socket is when you break or lose the clot in the socket thus exposing the bone and fine nerve endings to air, food, or fluids. This usually happens about 48 hours or more after the extraction and is common with wisdom teeth due to the size of the hole in the gum. the pain can be excrutiating for up to 5 or 6 days after the clot is broken. It will also slow the healing process. One more thing smoking is something that can easily dislodge the clot but the back teeth and mandibular area have poor circulation and this can also be a reason. Respectfully,Awakened
