computer problem... need help

Long story short.... mini dump blue screen. Computer crashes.. tried software download fixes... don't work. Tried tried restart in past marked date that seemed to get from memory dump to mini dump.... for obvious reasons I don't want a stranger poking around in it.... resorted to using phone to type this..... so if anyone could help..... let me know thanks

Yeah .. widows xp. Dell inspiron notebook. Tried a system restore... didn't help...

yeah might try that^^^^^ . Ive done that to one of my last computers... it just sucks do to the fact that you have to spend the next several hrs doing updates and adding all programs that you wiped clean....
