Gun owners in Illinois will be required to report missing firearms under a new law signed by Gov. Pat Quinn.

To me that's sensible for legally registered gun owners, but I'm sure the ones who illegally possessed a gun and lost it would not want to even say a word. Too many guns stolen these days and making it a requirement to report a missing (or sold/transferred) weapon is good sense.
