I wasn't sure where to post this topic but it's something I wanted to get off my chest and to see others feelings on it.

I work at a bar on the weekends and last night I got promoted to doorman. Long story short my two co-workers wanted to hang out outside the bar and BS with people all fucking night. I understand that bouncing isn't that complicated of a job but I would feel like such a louse if I didn't try to make it look like I was paying attention to the crowd and also being out front when you are posted inside!!!! The owners girlfriend and her friend were helping me catch kids drinking underage more than those guys were. The owners girlfriend's girlfriend was actually going right up to girls who mysteriously had a drinking band after they got in when I hadn't given them one and she was ripping the bands right off. And these guys still were oblivious.

Doesn't anyone take pride in doing a good job anymore???

another example is at my gym. We are all responsible for maintaining the appearance of the facility, enforcing the rules, etc. Yet you get girls who just want to ring people up or put them in tanning. The never venture out from the register unless it's to use their cell phones. We also had a floor trainer tell another employee that they were taking out the trash because the other girl was there as a "cleaner" and she should be doing the garbage. This fucking cock has been at the gym long enough to know it doesn't work that way and I'm the CPT and I still do anything that needs to get done.

What is wrong with people today, seriously. Gotta go train some clients but wanted to post this rant real quick.

Lol, I Feel You But...

I Bounced On And Off For Years And Managed A Club At One Point, Yet I Never Tried To Complicate Things Too Much.

To Me It Was Just A Few Extra Dollars, Nothing I Was Trying To Retire By, So I Didn't Try To Over Involve Myself In It, If You Follow Me.

Mainly It Was Money And Pussy I Was Worried About.

I hear you bro....I bounce and manage a nice bar that my bro and some friends own. It is hard sometimes dealing with all the pieces of shit out there. We have a dress code and because of it i have to decide what is to baggy, trashy, ect and not let ppl in because of it. I get called a racist all the time because of it. How is it my fault...i did not dress them like thugs. Oh well, i had to rant alil bit. I am sure you deal with the same shit sometimes.

I did get off topic somewhat. But i feel ya on finding good help. We have to fire ppl left and right for not doing there job, giving out free drinks, letting underage ppl in..ect.

i totally agree. it seems anywhere you go you have to double check what you asked/paid for to make sure the lazy ass helping you did it right. nobody cares anymore. if you do a shit/lazy job that a reflection on you and what little respect you have for yourself. so i extend no respect to people like that. you have to yell and scream and really get on them to get the job done right, its a shame.

A lot of people just have no pride. They think they are "above" the job they are doing but they haven't done anything to better themselves. They want to be given accolades and responsibilities but they haven't done a damn thing to earn it. Therefore, they slack and don't respect the job they do have.

That's my take on the whole thing.........

PRIDE what is that!!! haha man i know the feeling!! people just don't give a shit anymore about anything.. If they don't want to work because there is no one or anything going to hole them responsible. I really feel for the future of the country because before long no one will be working or a select few and they will have to carry the load. i see this more and more everyday. Hell i can't even get people to come to work more than one or two days a week. they will miss half the time and wonder why i fire their ass!!! crazy man, i don't understand myself something needs to change real soon!!!

I had another great example of this at work last week. I came in one morining to garbage cans over flowing, just a general mess. I asked one of the overnight guy what happened and he said that he was now the overnight manager and didn't have to take out the trash. He's the only one working in the overnight besides the cleaners and the cleaners are there to scrub shit and do the floors and such that can't be done during the day, not take out the trash. I wanted to slap him for being such a lazy fuck, a manager should care about the appearance of the place and again how that affects how he looks as a manager.

Its the managers job to do everything. He should be the first one to look at it and take it out. Its his responsibility that the gym stays neat and clean. Lazy Bastards
