President Obama is planning to promote one of his longtime aides to head up the administration's top economic policy position.  
Obama is expected to nominate Jason Furman to chair the Council of Economic Advisers Monday afternoon. If confirmed by the Senate, Furman would replace Alan Krueger as chairman.
