Yeah American gangster is typical main stream Hollywood movie.
The characters are surely overstretched in their abilities.

If it is based on real story, then perhaps it should be more on side of reality and less staffed with money making blockbusters staff.

I watched it and I think it's good but not more.
I prefer Russell Crowe in other roles than this one. Denzel Washington is still as good as in the other movies. A great actor
