But it’s all water under the bridge now, because almost 30 yearslater, Brian De Palma’s gangster epic has taken its rightful place in film historyas a movie that helped redefine a genre and became one of the ultimate guy-movie classics.Despite Oliver Stone’s endlessly quotable script and De Palma’s expertdirection, the 180 can largely be traced back to one place: the film’s notoriousantihero, Tony Montana.
