MINNEAPOLIS - Chances are pretty good you're part of a nation-wide drug recall Monday morning. That means it's time to check your medicine cabinet. You may not be familiar with the name of the Swiss company announcing the recall -- Novartis-- but you know its medicines.

Sixteen varieties of the popular painkiller Excedrin, from back and body to migraine and No-Doz-- are being recalled.

Don't use them if they have an expiration date of Dec.20, 2014 or earlier.

Bufferin and Gas-X with an expiration date of Dec. 20, 2013 or earlier are also recalled.

Novartis says the problem comes from its plant in Lincoln, Nebraska.

There were some issues with one of the lines where some of the tablets, capsules and caplets were breaking or chipping, then getting mixed-in with other products, meaning you may get some Excedrin in with your no-doze -- which could cause problems.

The company says it's issuing the recall on its own. Nobody has been hurt, and it is working with the food and drug administration.
