TweetThanks, guys. I already had SpyBot Search and Destroys but it focuses too much on spywares and not on viruses. I'm running an AVG scan online right now. I'm sure that my computer has been infected. Some icons keep disappearing and there is one website that I don't even have access to. I don't know what's wrong but I need to find out.

They will find and kill all of your viruses. I find that it works better than Norton.
Most anti-virus websites also have a free anti-worm and Trojan download, it will scan and kill them.
TweetBig Thumbs up for AVG .....can't get any better than free...:-)
Peace Out!
TweetI ran AVG but ...... I lost all my logins and passwords in the process. Of course I never write them down and I can't remember my passwords. Is there a way to retrieve them?
There was a worm on computer and I'm not sure that AVG got rid of it b/c all my programs are f***** up
Tweeti love avg its what im using now but i also use nortan to but thats not free
Tweetdon't be fooled into thinking anyo -one program is a fix-all when it comes to trojans viruses and or adware programs.. because there isn't such a program.. as soon as they think they have on and it hits the markt... The hackers being the types of people they are modify exisiting programs to screw with you and even the newest adware/anti-virus programs can't get them.
honestly,,, I think norton and the rest if these ant-virus people pay they hackers to circumvet their newest products...just so you have to buy the even more latest programs..
I did some construction work for a company called netesc, it stood for internet security.. To look at these guys, you thought you walked into the nearest hippie shateboard bark. No a soul was over 25. But these guys were paid to hack government sites to find loopholes and then find a way to close down those loopholes.
One guy was so ingenius , he created a lazerbeam that could be used to send encrypted information from one building to the next. I'm not sure if anyone relises the ramifications of or possible uses of this,,
Trying to tap into it would actual burn/fry anything that tried. I'm not sure what came of it .. thr gov. probably bought the rights to the concept.
My whole point is that these guys were originally the hackers that would get into you computer at will .. shut down sits... or just access sensitive nmaterial a their whim.. because..... they could and it presented a chanlleng to them.
They spoke of how easy it was to use the same trjen program and modify one line of code.. making it undetectable but the latest software.. they would do this over and over.. it's a club to these guys..
But the dudes that formed netsec wised up and realise there was money to be made... Nothing seemed funnier to us construction workera s it was to se this dreadlock hippie looking guy pull up in a yellow lambrogini.. wearing holy shorts and an old aerosmith faded teeshit... looked like he didn't have two nickels to rub to together. and yet be the ceo of this company.. Oh and btw .. these guys, every last one of them.... the nicest funniest guys.. it was like we (the construction crew) were buddies from the early days of college.. treated us with the utmost respect.. and of course we did the exact same.. some would let us watch them work.. (nothing gov or security related) .. but it's amazing what a few keystokes plce in the right order can do... Others played online games half the day.. No one in that building worked for less than 6 figures.
