Well, in the city where I live the mayor is black, the chief of police is black as is most of the force. The city itself is about 60% black. Everyone blames everyone else but they're all black so I guess that's progress for ya. I live in a Southern city, so there have obviously been racial problems in the past. I guesss whitey has gotten the fuck out so he can't be blamed any longer.

Where I'm from, New Orleans, LA., black on black murder was always higher than white on white or black on white. As I've recently heard, N.O. is once again leading the country in murder rate.

Speaking as a member of the black community, I'd have to say that our worst habit is not only blaming everyone but ourselves for this matter. But we are taught by our peers to never rat on one another. And it's not just on the streets but I've noticed this with my fellow officers when I was in LE years ago. A true black person will not snitch on another black person, regardless. If they do, they lose all respect and trust from everyone else.

I understand what you're saying, but what I can't understand is if someone sees/knows another person commit a serious crime, how can they just sit there and not report it.

In my city the black community is understandably upset about all the black on black crime, but what is mind-blowing is that someone is keeping information that would help find a killer.

They protest that the city needs to do something. How can any form of government control human nature? If I go out and kill someone, and lets say a family member knows that I did it, they need to come forward and tell the cops. If they keep this information, they're just as guilty as I am.
