It’s been the warmest six months in United States history (on the mainland), and if the heat wave is getting to you, you’re not the only one. According to a new study, we all get a bit cranky when it’s hot out.Researchers at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University had a look into the matter and have come up with some logical reasons as to why that’s the case.They found that heat and humid weather is associated with aggression and violence, and an overall worse mood. The main reasons for that are that people have more trouble sleeping in the heat at night and dehydration affects them during the day. There’s no question that everyone loves some sun, but that’s mostly if you’re on vacation or are chilling by the pool. Doing regular, everyday activities like going to work, sitting in traffic and running errands blows when it’s sweltering hot and you’re sweating like you’re in a sauna.
