ya....... right... i dont believe that bull shit "it was just out to kill no matter if it was human or animal" lol This is what happened.... they didnt like their neighbors pitbull so they let it out of the fence (after they called the police) then they pressed the dogs tooth into the lil boy to make it look like the dog bit him, then they got on top of the dog to make it look like they were wrestling the dog... thats how it went their story is all over the place and i can tell by looking at the dog that it wouldnt attack a human, maybe it would fight a dog, but i can tell it wouldnt take a human. Pits are not naturally agressive towards humans in any manner. There is a man that has a kennel of pits on short chains becuz he is a fucking ass, hole(behind my grandparents house) but my point is, i can go up to the fence and they will wag their tail and try to lick me although they have no human contact except for the master...

I hate and I mean hate to read this stuff. Ahhhh it makes me sick to my stomach. For me it is right up there with the media's demonization of steroids. I'm sick, I might puke.

I am a proud owner of a beautiful chocolate rednose APBT and this type of news just baffles me. I mean I wouldn't be anymore surprised if my dog recited the Pledge Of Allegiance while smoking a cigar than I would be if my dog did what was described in this article.

THere are SOOOOOOOO many factors to be considered before taking this story as fact. First of all, there are over 15 different breeds of dogs that get lumped into "Pit Bull" category any time the press can put something like this out there for all the uninformed to read and add to the hysteria.

Man, I hate to see it. Just another step towards BSL (Breed Specific Legislation).

i agree with you demon pitbulls and gear are in the same category if put in the hands of ignorant people only bad things can happen i own a pitbull and i live in a area where people are very irresponsible and i am trying to preserve the integrity of the pitbull breed i happen to have a brindle large boned pit that pecause of other peoples ignorance has been attacked about 10 times but when this happens i stepped up and rolled up my sleevs and put the work in because if a pitbull is involved society is so predjudiced that its the pits fault and im not going to lose my dog because other people dont think that the leash laws apply to them. to give bya an example of a occurance the next door neighbors poodle tried to attack my pit and my dog just pinned him to the ground. my dog is acctually a lot nicer than i would have been
so lets see my dog has been attacked by a poodle,2 akitas,2 pits from an ignorant environment of course . a laso apso, a sharpe and he hasnt over reacted i wold have went for the neck but he is nicer and just kinda toyed with them just thought i would share some positive press about the pitbull breed because you never hear the positive stuff anly the negative

I won't even read it. I've heard so much and being a pit activist/ex-breeder and owner, it all gives ammo to the assholes that want to ban the breed completely. And "pitbull" is extremely ambiguous remember, there are actually 28 different type of bully dogs so to catergorize them as a single threat is like saying all hound dogs are bad because 3 types bit people this year.

i`m sorry....i didn`t mean to OFFEND ANY ONE by the post.

i always hear stories of this around boston.

if you read the article....the dogs tooth was actually stuck in the little boys calf.
i know there are some owners and breeders of pitbulls here, but hearing about little kids getting attacked sickens me.

Nothing personal bro. Most of us are just up in arms because of all the media hype and ignorance surrounding the breed. It is no different than when I see some F*cking baseball player having to go in front of our Congress to testify rather or not he used steroids or GH plastered all over the news and TV.

Here is the point, I agree that any dog attack, especially against children is sickening. I have one cousin whose child was attacked by their own cocker spaniel and another cousin whose child was attacked by their own brittany spaniel. Both need plastic surgery on their faces to cover up scarring. Was that even newsworthy? Apparently not. Not a word mentioned in the paper or on the news.

However, just recently two pit bulls got lose in my city. Somebody called the cops and when they showed up they shot them. Not because they were attacking anybody, simply because they were "dangerous animals that appeared aggressive". That is what ignites my fury. Due to all the headlines and the demonization of the breed because of a few irresponsible owners, now pit bulls lives are in danger if they are loose in my city.
