      Default Hypertension And Anxiety

      Anyone suffer from this??

I just got a script for inderal and ativan.........

      inderal for hypertension
its what some of the chinese olympians got D.Q'd for this year (womens)

Treating high blood pressure or atrial fibrillation. It is used in patients with angina to decrease angina frequency and increase exercise tolerance. It is used to decrease the risk of heart death in certain patients who have survived a heart attack. It is used to manage certain types of tremors, a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, or certain symptoms of pheochromocytoma (an adrenal tumor). It is used to prevent migraine headaches. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Inderal is a beta-blocker. It works by slowing down the heart and decreasing the amount of blood it pumps out. This helps to decrease blood pressure, helps the heart pump more efficiently, and reduces the workload on the heart. Exactly how Inderal works to treat migraines or tremors is not known.

      and then ativan

Treating anxiety or anxiety associated with symptoms of depression. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Ativan is a benzodiazepine. It works by slowing down the movement of chemicals in the brain. This results in a reduction in nervous tension (anxiety) and causes little sedation.

i opted for this instead of xanax .

      I use Ativan.
I get anxiety but its not all the time so I prefer taking something when I get it instead of all the time.

I get anxiety when I am relaxed, like watching TV.
Being on the juice does not help, actually it makes it worst for me.
I take .5 to 1 mg when I start to feel it. Now that I recoginze the feeling I can often prevent it just by changing what I am doing.

Now find me a cheap source for ativan

I had a quack doctor that got me dependant on Xanax. They are the most addictive of all the Benzos. I now only take a Klonopin @ 1mg when I feel anxious. Ativan and Kloopin are very similar and less adictive.

Never had the high BP so I cant comment on that one.

Just an FYI about ATIVAN... please don't take this personal, just a personal experience I've had with this... If the person has any kind of anger issues, chemically unbalanced or anything of that nature then they need to stay away from Ativan... hubby was put on it and by the 3rd or 4th day of him taking it I threw them out.. he got so angry at the drop of a hat, that I was scared of him!! Told his doctor about it and he said good call on my part and put him on a daily low dose prozac
I lied to everyone in the BB community. I was doing this for attention and nothing else. My husband busted me being a whore on the internet and I have to say that regardless of how I said things, he's never been anything but loving to me. I betrayed him.

I'm not a Dr. but for high blood pressure, I was told by my Dr. and I have read that you should never use a beta blocker if you train with weights. Inderal is great to help keep you calm, but it's a beta blocker. I was put on a calcium channel blocker, because of the heavy lifting. Just what I've been told and my Dr. is very much up on his research. Hope this helps.
