So the people who did work, got laid off, have had their unemployment run out and have hungry children are not supposed to be looked after? You are speaking as if every person on welfare doesn't seek or look for work and we should just cut them out and forget about them all together.

We are 14 trillion in debt because we spend ungodly amounts of money on two wars! People forget that history repeats itself. Rome and many other great empires fell because of an attempt at a military conquest, bankrupted the empire, and diminished. We need to stop putting so much money into WAR/Military and start putting MORE into EDUCATION!

Does anybody remember what happened when states ran the educational system and plenty of cash was dropped into education? What happened?

IBM, Apple, Microsoft, and many other technological advances that only education could help establish.

We WERE the worlds superpower. As long as the media keeps telling us we're the greatest nation in the world and people continue to believe it, we'll continue giving up our rights one at a time until its Germany all over again.

I agree. I deployed to Camp Bucca in Iraq back in 05, it was a huge prison camp and you worried all the time about being attacked. IMO it was dumb having that many Terrorists right there in Iraq. One good attack and riot and a bunch could have escaped.
