I thought I had FireFox on this computer but looks like I removed it.

Somewhere towards the top there should be an OPTIONS or TOOLS tab as well. Just scroll thru the options until you see PRIVATE or PRIVACY Browsing, or something similar.

It's almost exactly like IE. Trust me, you'll find it.

Yes. Renewing your IP w/ the cmd doesn't do shit...LOL!

If you're on a private HOME network, like most of us at our house; the ipconfig would show inTRAnet network information. Your IP addy assigned by the router to you: 192.168.1.2 releasing this and renewing it will only assign you a new intranet network ip addy.

Secondly, the IP assigned to your router, is there untill your ISP decides to give you a new one. If you logged into your router, and released/renewed the ip address, you'd get the same one.

Also, what does your IP address have to do with cookies? Cookies are stored on your computer. If you know what you're doing, you can set your browser not to allow certain cookies to be stored.

in firefox, go to tools>start private browsing

The original post was more about the info google and other search engines store, rather than the cookies stored on your pc. Cookes are easy enough to get rid of. I would rather just have discreet searching, btu that is just me. private browsing will also work as jerk suggested.
