The UFC on FX 1 fight card is filling up at a quick clip. The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s freshman effort on the FX network is slated for Jan. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

UFC officials on Tuesday announced that former WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown has been added to the card in a fight with Vagner Rocha.

Brown (25-8) has battled over a bumpy road over the past couple of years. He has gone 3-3 under the Zuffa umbrella since losing the WEC belt to current featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo.

Things were looking sketchy for Brown after he dropped the first two bouts in his UFC return. He rebounded, however, at UFC 133 in August, winning a unanimous decision over Nam Phan.

He will now serve as a one-man featherweight welcoming committee in Brazilian Vagner Rocha’s 145-pound debut.

Rocha (7-2) is one out of two during his UFC start, defeating Cody McKenzie in September, but has finished six of the seven opponents he holds victories over.

A lightweight battle between top contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller headlines the Jan. 20 UFC on FX 1 fight card.
